Event: One Day Introduction to Meditation “The gift of learning to meditate is the greatest gift you can give yourself in this life. For it is only through meditation that you can undertake the journey to discover your true nature, and so find the stability and confidence you will need to live, and die, well.” | Sogyal Rinpoche Meditation offers us relaxation and freedom from stress, but it is much more than this. In the stillness and quietness of meditation the effortless peace of our innermost nature is revealed. This one day course is an opportunity to learn a simple method of meditation that is at the same time powerful and profound. Through learning this method you can begin to experience the inner strength, insight, compassion and deep peace this practice can bring. The course is an introduction to the practice of meditation, based on the Buddhist teachings. You will learn how to meditate, and about the benefits meditation can bring in your everyday life. There will also be time for meditation practice, reflection and discussion.
